One of many bold and exciting selections from the “It’s a Jungle in Here” collection by Pioneer Imports & Wholesale, the artificial philodendron selloum offers instant drama for a variety of permanent botanical applications.

Tom Bowling AIFD, CFD, PFCI takes a few moments to demonstrate an innovative way to use this versatile foliage in this walkthrough video. He begins by pointing out the growing popularity of hanging centerpieces, a trend that is especially picking up speed in event work.

With just two elements, Tom creates a sample suspension design you can quickly and easily customize for your own needs.

First, Tom starts with the impressive 52” artificial philo from Pioneer. This demonstration will also involve three silk phalaenopsis orchid stems (also from Pioneer) in brilliant orchid purple.

Tom gathers the wholesale silk orchids in the center, then secures them to the artificial philo with bind wire. He ties them in place right at the desired anchor point – where the arrangement will be suspended.

This dramatic pop of color really brings character and visual interest to the piece. Of course, it would be easy to swap out the silk orchids to suit a different theme. The artificial philo branch pairs well with a wide variety of color and texture complements.

While Tom notes that you do not have to do anything to the end of the artificial philo stem, he does give it a quick curl for this demonstration. He does this by simply wrapping the flexible stem around his finger. The curled stem is a little more visually interesting than the straight one, an enhancement to the line interest that helps to capture the eye.

You can see as Tom hangs the resulting composition that it takes on a smooth and elegant umbrella shape, a lovely draping effect that draws the eye across the arrangement with a sweeping motion.

The finished composition, and other suspended arrangements like it, can be a fantastic way to make a statement – especially in a venue with a high ceiling. Lofty ceilings can dampen the visual impact of low centerpieces when decorations are kept to a single level. All that unused vertical space is a blank canvas worth utilizing.

Walking into a tall venue and seeing this type of suspended arrangement, hanging at multiple points and grouped together, would be sure to create a magnificent presentation and a striking first impression.

You can find the artificial philo branch and the silk orchids used in this video available from the Pioneer Imports & Wholesale catalog – along with a diverse variety of other wholesale artificial foliage and silk flower options. Let Pioneer help you create spectacular arrangements suited to any venue or event.

Are you excited to start building up your collection of winter-themed permanent botanicals? Winter can be a season of magnificent beauty and high spirits – but for designers, winter is marked not by the snowfall but by the schedule pages packed with events and obligations.

Tom bowling AIFD, CFD, PFCI introduces a few time-saving permanent botanical products in this quick video.

The gorgeous Glacial Garden Collection by Pioneer Imports & Wholesale captures that winter feeling with luminous frost over silk flowers and artificial foliage, those mainstays of the winter season that clients are always looking for.

Tom begins by introducing the wreath. He notes the pre-attached artificial pinecones, the realistic snowy berries, the warm and welcoming silk ranunculus – and of course, all of it coated with a fine layer of that beautiful seasonal frost effect.

With this artificial pine wreath, you can go right from package to display just after a few simple adjustments to bring out the volume. Or, as Tom notes, you can go even further and add a little bit of ribbon trim for a customized look. This piece is a versatile canvas for accessories.

Tom focuses his attention on the spray format next. It has all the same materials mixed in, great for display on its own or with your own creative additions.

This brings Tom to the swag. This piece comes with artificial twig backing to serve as a sturdy base. It can go on the wall, on the door, above the door… the list goes on.

But as Tom demonstrates, the swag is also a fantastic candidate for centerpiece work. He pulls out a wooden box filled with blocks of dry floral foam as an example. Tom explains how you can use hairpins to secure the swag to the box, then build upward if desired using additional materials and trim – but the genius of this piece is that half the work is already done for you.

Get inspired with the Glacial Garden Collection! Save time, money, and effort with these helpful compositions you can use on their own or as building blocks to create the whimsical winter arrangements your clients crave.

You can find the Glacial Garden supplies highlighted in this video all readily available within the Pioneer Imports & Wholesale catalog – along with a spectrum of silk flowers, artificial foliage, wholesale ribbon, and winter-themed accessories to help you get the season off to a productive start.

Next, Vonda repeats the process with a dramatic fan palm spray and a cobalt blue glass vase filled with decorative pebbles to balance the weight of the piece. The combination looks stunning!

Video: Protea Design

Protea is booming in popularity and many in the floral design industry are taking notice. The growth of this market is a success story worth following – even consumers are asking for it by name. Pioneer Imports & Wholesale makes it easy to embrace this trend with a gorgeous permanent botanical protea option you can start using in your bouquets and arrangements right away.

The wholesale silk protea available from Pioneer boasts lifelike petals, bold foliage, and realistically detailed stems. There are so many ways to use this eye-catching selection. This quick video shows just one technique as demonstrated by Vonda LaFever AIFD, PFCI, CFD.

This design uses the silk protea spray with 26” stem along with silk lacy fern bush and artificial berry stems – all available from Pioneer Imports & Wholesale. This arrangement will be placed in a gorgeous urn with an aged bronze finish that really pulls the pink and green tones together.

Vonda begins by using snips to trim the silk protea stem down to fit the container. She creates a collar of artificial berries around the silk protea, spacing the bunches evenly for attractive balance. The artificial lacy fern bush serves as the final addition. Vonda places these with a sweeping horizontal distribution for a dramatic sense of movement.

Once the elements are loosely arranged, Vonda takes a moment to snip the stems for even length. She then takes a length of floral twine to bind the arrangement together. Vonda places the completed composition in the urn – and the result is a gorgeous silk protea arrangement that can be used as a tall centerpiece or accent just about anywhere.

You can find wholesale silk protea, artificial berries, and silk lacy fern bush all available from the Pioneer Imports & Wholesale catalog. Use these elements to bulk up your permanent botanical toolbox to stay ready for any trend that comes your way.

Pioneer Imports & Wholesale has put together a dynamite collection for your clients who love their travel experiences and treasure the feeling of being abroad. This grouping of foliage and containers will offer them the sense of being on a café terrace overlooking an olive garden or perhaps on the patio sipping wine with the smell of rosemary and lemons in the air.

Wherever they’ve been or want to go, the sense of culinary potages and edible plants are part of it and you’ll find a great selection here. Lush foliage and olive branches combine with rosemary and both lemons and their leaves to create the ambiance they’re seeking.

The Norman metal pots, which come in four sizes, add a bit of the rustic and are perfect for both the olive topiary and the rosemary plants in the collection. You can just imagine a few lined up on a short stone wall, so you may want to display them with that feel for your clientele.

The lemon leaf wreath and garland are lovely in their simplicity and very adaptable to various decorating schemes, as subtle accents or to unify an overall theme.

Video: How To: Design with Seaside Cafe Collection

Amanda Thomas - Thursday, April 12, 2018

Video Summary written for Pioneer Imports & Wholesale by: Lisa B.

Inspiration for this arrangement comes from the south of France – enjoying beautiful weather outside of a café, taking in the sights and sounds of the city.

Vonda LaFever, AIFD, PFCI, CFD creates a permanent botanical composition that embodies this aesthetic using pieces from the Pioneer Imports & Wholesale Seaside Café Collection. Soft colors like light pink blush, pale latte, and warm custard tones give this palette a nostalgic and welcoming personality.

A pair of two Bryant pots serve as a base for this design. Both pots are filled with blocks of floral foam to provide support for the permanent botanicals to be added later. By attaching adhesive to the bottom of the smaller pot, she creates a sturdy stacked design for an interesting layered effect.

For this project, Vonda uses wholesale silk flowers including hydrangea and rose bush cuttings, along with silk ivy vines. She inserts the darker roses into the top of the container and begins adding lighter silk flowers around the edges. A few pops of pale custard-yellow flowers take their place as accents in between.

Next, Vonda moves on to the bottom container, starting with darker silk foliage. When inserting the longer ivy vines, she makes sure they carry their volume over the edge of the container for a full and elegant appearance. She inserts a few of the larger silk blossoms into this bottom container for a fabulous sense of balance.

The result is a handsome permanent botanical arrangement appropriate for use in a variety of spaces during any season.

Explore the Pioneer Imports & Wholesale website for more wholesale silk flowers, containers, and everything you need to create gorgeous arrangements just like this one.

With its versatile aesthetic and wide variety of decorative applications, the gorgeous Sydney Eucalyptus Collection from Pioneer Imports & Wholesale continues to grow in popularity. In this video, Vonda LaFever AIFD, CFD, PFCI takes a closer look at this stunning silk foliage and demonstrates a few creative ways to use it.

Vonda begins by highlighting the brilliant depth and coloration of the artificial Sydney eucalyptus sprigs. This subdued bluish green is a highly sought-after color for weddings but remains a versatile option for everyday display as well.

Pioneer’s eucalyptus from the Sydney Collection features intricate detailing that instantly elevates any arrangement.

Next, Vonda uses a garland of eucalyptus to create a quick impromptu table runner. This selection is beautiful on its own but could just as easily accommodate other accessories or additions as well, as Vonda demonstrates with ribbon and silk flowers.

The small bouquet itself serves as another splendid example of the way artificial eucalyptus can add color and detail to any type of floral composition.

Silk eucalyptus from Pioneer’s Sydney Collection is an exceptionally useful item for wedding season, for use in table runners or bouquets, but the possibilities are truly endless.
