Prom Sales School Checklist

Check this list to make your Prom school event a big success!
Have a plan! Be prepared! Have a great time and grow your business!

  • Get the word out to as many people as you can, build excitement so that everyone wants to come and see what you are offering. Ask the school if they will promote your event on Facebook and Instagram.  Advertise on your own social media ahead of time and often.
  • Have ideas ready for Prom decor; the school may ask for assistance with decorating.  
  • Offer a doorprize giveaway to anyone who places an order on this day.  It can be for a gift certificate to be used towards the purchase of their Prom flowers.  
  • Offer current photos or an electronic device that has a photo slideshow so they can see many options.  Be up to date on the color trends and have ribbon on hand in shades to match. 
  • Bring the most common flowers used so they can see and smell.  If you can, bring other exotic varieties or artificial options. Try to have something for everyone.  
  • Have your business card and a coupon flyer on hand, as many may not be ready to order on that day, but you are not excluding them if they can call you when they are ready.  Remind them that a phone call is all that is needed.  
  • Try and get a display time during the students' lunch, before school, or during study halls.  
  • Be sure to bring a selection of adornments, gems, and bracelets.  Show off your unique style by having an attractive display.  Have fun and create while they are watching to add excitement and ideas.  
  • Develop a streamlined order form just for Prom to gather all the details quickly and include pricing.
