The primary reason that one of our customers would be claiming sales and use tax exemption is for resale purposes. We recognize that many states allow sales and use tax exemption for other reasons. If you are requesting this, it is up to you to contact your state and get the proper exemption permit showing that you are exempt for paying sales tax. Once you obtain the permit from your state, you can submit the sales tax exemption form for your state to us, including the verifiable sales tax exemption number you received on the permit that you obtained. 

Please note that many organizations feel that being classified as a 501c Non-Profit Organization automatically makes them exempt from paying sales tax. However, a 501c classification only exempts an organization from paying federal income tax. It does not automatically apply to sales and use tax. You must also be sales tax exempt per your state's laws in order to purchase from us. It is the customer's responsibility to read their state laws and understand this.
