Evergreen ivy has long been a symbol of loyalty, vitality, and eternity. This makes it a meaningful choice for weddings and everyday occasions. Its creeping vines bring life to stone walls, heritage to wooden trellises, and abundance to overflowing containers. Ivy offers a promise of life wherever it grows.
While fresh ivy is hardy, it will wilt and dry out, making a lifelike alternative a useful tool in the designer’s toolkit. Durable artificial ivy is less prone to damage from handling and can be easily shaped, cut, and manipulated.
Ivy and Events
In today's events, ivy is a fitting complement to venues with Greek Revival and Gothic architecture. It can also provide a modern aesthetic, reminiscent of Ivy League style. Ivy finds a home in bohemian designs as well, where greenery offers a simple, affordable way to personalize living spaces and connect with nature. All these influences make ivy a versatile choice and a constant need for florists and event designers.
Ivy, both real and artificial, is a popular choice for event design, naturally lending itself to canopies, clinging to walls, unfurling on banisters, or stretching as ground cover. Unlike real plants, artificial vines retain their appearance for extended periods, eliminating the need for constant maintenance and replacement.
