Video: Angelyn Bracelet

Are you getting ready for Prom season? Tom Bowling AIFD PFCI is ready to share a few flexible ideas using elements available right now through the Pioneer Imports & Wholesale catalog. As a distributor for Fitz Design, Pioneer offers a wealth of accessories perfect for prom. In this quick demonstration video, Tom focuses on the fantastically versatile Angelyn slap bracelet.

Right from the very first glance, Angelyn offers a lot of potential to appreciate. This piece comes with dazzling beadwork already applied – a tremendous timesaver. And because slap bracelets accommodate almost any wrist size, Angelyn is a smart selection for groups and other large projects.

Slap bracelets like this one wrap all the way around the wrist. This makes them suitable for the on-trend cuff bracelet style. Tom utilizes this expansive 360-degree surface area to create a prom corsage with permanent botanical elements all the way around.

Tom is using a liquid floral adhesive in this demonstration. He points out that this type of adhesive sticks to itself better than it sticks to surfaces. You'll see this in action as he first places the glue on the ribbon, then on the bracelet, and presses the two together.

Because this bracelet is already so beautiful, Tom chooses to be judicious with his use of permanent botanical elements.

He uses spare silk foliage clippings he has set aside from previous projects – a convenient way to stretch materials and prevent waste. He places the adhesive in dots all the way around the corsage and gives it a moment to set up. You can tell when the adhesive is ready when it goes from shiny to dull. He repeats the process with the silk foliage all the way across the bracelet.

Tom notes that you can do a lot of this preparation work way in advance. No need to wait until the day of the big event!

Next, Tom begins to add silk mini ranunculus in that gorgeous thistle lavender color. He glues the back of each silk flower, lets it set up, and then begins to nestle them alongside the ribbon. Then, he carries this balance along to the ends of the bracelet.

This, of course, is custom work – and Tom notes that you can charge custom prices for these arrangements. This corsage style is easy to customize for every person. Tom shows off a wide variety of other color and silk flower combinations at the end of the video, showing how each selection completely changes the character of the presentation despite sharing a similar base.

You can find the Fitz Design Angelyn bracelet available through the Pioneer Imports & Wholesale catalog, along with many other exciting Fitz Design accessories. Pioneer also carries a wide variety of wholesale silk flowers, artificial foliage, and dazzling accents to keep you fully stocked for all your prom season projects.
