Use Willow Wreath Forms for Shape

Willow wreath forms provide a sturdy foundation, allowing designers to focus on the creative vision rather than worrying about structural integrity. Unlike flimsier alternatives, Pioneer’s forms maintain their shape and integrity even when filled with blooms, making them ideal for events where reliability is key. Using two sizes of willow wreaths, Bowling explains his design:

“The cool thing about the design I am creating is its shape—it is inverted. Typically, a chandelier graduates from small to large, but this one does the opposite, transitioning from large to small.”

With an 18-inch wreath base at the top and a 14-inch wreath below it, the layers create a stunning, layered effect. Stacking the wreaths in this way will produce a gentle, cascading waterfall look once flowers and foliage are added.

Insert Artificial Foliage

The open weave of the willow wreath allows you to easily insert stems, making the construction process a breeze. “Pioneer’s willow wreathes are very friendly because the weave is very open as opposed to some that are extremely tight, so it accepts whatever you want to put into it quite nicely,” explains Bowling. When inserting greenery, Bowling chose laurel leaf garland and fern fronds. “The greens establish the base, and then ferns break it up, so the chandelier has a variety of form and texture,” said Bowling.
