Consider the range of warm hues from daybreak to dusk in sandy terrain. Succulents find their natural home, as do grasses and terracotta pots. In the Desert Dusk collection, we are emphasizing visual interest through texture while providing a highly sophisticated interpretation of autumn.
Right now in interior design, consumers continue to choose neutral bases (carpet, walls, etc.) but are moving to warmer tone creams and even pale yellows. For any room with a neutral base, Desert Dusk is a great way to add a hint of color without fear. Because a trend on its way out is keeping a room completely neutral.

Show customers a way to get color without screaming bold shades. Lilac/brown hydrangeas are an excellent representation of this color palette. You get color while still feeling warm and safe. We’ve even added a hint of burgundy to beige grasses to warm them up a bit and add some saturation.
These flowers and foliages can be used alongside a richer shade of purple for a seasonal design, or a year-round aesthetic. It works well in the otherwise yellowish desert palette when considering the purple, the sky turns at dusk.
Color is also introduced by using plant life that would be native to the desert environment. Succulents, grasses, and air plants bring a splash of green. And when you use our lifelike picks, inserting them in arrangements is a snap.
Some designers may say that this style is less about color, and more about comfort. Desert Dusk does literally provide warmth through color, but even more through texture, pattern and silhouette.
There is a psychology to shapes just as there is color. And the geometric pattern of Whitcomb and Severn containers uses triangles – symbols of stability, balance and movement. Additionally, the completeness of a circle, like the one found in our hanging planter brings a softness and mildness representing unity and protection. Using containers with a pattern and interesting shape brings a desert aesthetic. Together, shape, texture and color create a soothing space.
Whether you let the desert landscape inspire your color choices for a modern fall look with brown and mustard petals, or go deep into the desert aesthetic, one thing is certain: Desert Dusk is a sophisticated way to bring the warmth of fall to home décor.
