A surprising fall color, shades of pink create a monochromatic collection that emanates warmth, serenity and the fading hues of the season. Pink Sunset uses layers of pink to evoke rosy cheeks and early sunsets. The blend of warm tones says “fall” without using traditional colors and overt elements. It’s the ideal collection for consumers looking for seasonal home décor in a different way.
Petal-rich, fluffy flowers pair with thin, prickly foliage and unglazed ceramic containers creating a natural wildness. Or pair flowers with velvety lambs’ ear and pumpkins for a soft and subtle look. Large form flowers like dinner plate dahlias and sunflowers command your attention while everything else is support material.
“Everything can’t be the most important,” reminds Tom Bowling, AIFD. “Build different levels of interest. Astilbe, for example, may look like nothing, but in this collection, it becomes a very important transition between the sizes of the flowers.”
Visual and physical balance is also achieved by finishing these arrangements on all sides. You don’t know where customers will be placing it in their home, so don’t limit yourself. Flower arrangements can go anywhere and be seen from all sides when you design in this way (as pictured above).
Multiplicity gives customers options too. Multiple smaller pieces can be pushed together to create a larger visual size. Or smaller pieces can fit in different areas. An accent in a powder room creates connection to the coffee table, for example. Smaller pieces can be stretched out too -- not everyone has the same size table. Multiplicity provides choices and the coordinating containers in the Pink Sunset collection make it easy.
Stretching and subgrouping designs applies to banquet tables too. Designing this way gives even more flexibility in event spaces.
Pink Sunset provides the materials for a fashionable look for eventgoers as well. Shades of pink stay strong as a top choice for bridesmaids and formal dances into 2022. Ranging from blush to antique pink to merlot, the flower and foliage elements in the Pink Sunset collection complement these fabric colors.

For the finishing touch to this collection, think metallic. It provides a luster (not a shine) that elevates the entire composition.
This boutonniere shows how a sprig off a bush provides the natural artistry desired in fashion today. Get this simplicity by using the hollow tube of the boutonniere holder. By using permanent botanicals, the physical tension created by bending the stems holds flowers in place. It’s a look you wouldn’t be able to achieve with fresh flowers (because stems shrink when they lose water.) But your customers will never be able to tell the difference.
