Get the Window Boxes Ready!

Get the Window Boxes Ready!

The turn of season always inspires consumers to refresh their décor. According to the National Retail Federation, growth in flowers and decorations for spring continues, with those purchases at a record high in 2023. While consumers are inspired to buy, floral designers can extend your offering from inside out.

Offering design services to homeowners and small businesses, filling their window boxes with permanent botanicals is a worthwhile investment. Flowers that stay beautiful throughout the season, maintenance-free. And, with botanically correct silk flowers, customers get an extremely lifelike final product.

Designing with artificial plants and flowers is no different than layering fresh product to create the ideal window box.

Window box designs have three core elements:

  1. Focal flowers- Flowers with bold color and large open blooms draw the eye. Shopping by color, opportunities are endless to coordinate for curb appeal.  Ensure your summer varieties actually “bloom” with our lifelike peonies, iris, lilacs, and magnolia.
  2. Flowers and greens that trail over the container - Providing movement and an organic feeling flowers and greens that hang will soften the edges of the window box.
  3. Filler flowers - Filling space throughout the container, filler flowers provide a place for your eye to rest, as well as additional color and texture

For customers who want to grab and go, you can also design in containers with the familiar proportions of window boxes that customers can purchase and drop-in themselves.

Many homeowners have the opportunity to display door wreathes, porch pots and window boxes. To get inspired, check out our galleries.
